Outlaw Rimfire Precision Series is where many new shooters begin.

 

This is the easist match to participate in and runs all year round, however the main "season" runs for 6 months from May - Oct each year.

 

Distances are always at a consistant 25, 50, 75 and 100 yards and the targets are of appropriate size to be able to hit. The timing for 10 shots is generally 2 minutes.

 

The Course of Fire is published at the beginning of each month, which will allow the competitor to practice the stages before the match.

 

The match is shot in "squads" or 4 to 8 shooters each, shooting one at a time and each squad rotates from stage to stage as a group.

 

We liken this to going to Elementary school where you can learn and refine your fundamentals prior to moving on to more challening matches.

 

NRL 22 Canada League was brought to Canada in 2022 and has taken off like wildfire. The "season" starts in May/June of each year and runs for 12 months. The Grand Finale is held in the USA in June of each year. 250 competitors from all over the world fly/drive into the US to compete. Each foreign country, such as Canada, receives only 12 invitations to this event, and as such, are coveted my many competitors.

 

Distances are usually odd numbers, which forces the shooter to be very understanding of their scope settings and how to adjust for distances such as 38 Yards or 62 Yards or 87 Yards.  Some of the farther distance offered each month can range up to 200 yards for ranges that can accomodate that.

 

As with Outlaw Rimfire Precision, this match is shot in squads and also has the Course of Fire published at the beginning of each month. In Canada we shoot the same course of fire as our US counterparts. Additionally, there are a number of "GunTubers" who will film a preview of the match so that you can see how they shoot it. This will make your practice time much more effective.

 

We liken this league to more like a "high school" for rimfire match levels.

 

The Canadian Rimfire Precision Series (CRPS) kicked off in 2017 to meet the growing love for precision shooting in Canada.

 

The founders saw there was a need for a competitive yet welcoming platform that both newbies and seasoned shooters could enjoy. They aimed to make it inclusive, and it quickly caught on thanks to its focus on skill-building, sportsmanship, and a real sense of community. By zeroing in on rimfire rifles, which are cheaper and have lower ammo costs, they made precision shooting accessible to more people.

 

The perks of the Canadian Rimfire Precision Series are plenty. For shooters, CRPS offers a well-organized space to sharpen their skills and gain experience in competitions. It's not just about shooting; it's about building a community where folks share knowledge, support each other, and build strong bonds.
